Abstract: Based on the research presented in this paper ACES are directly linked to drug use. There are 10 questions on the ACE test, each question being worth 1 point. Those with a high score appear to be more likely to use illicit drugs than those who have a low score. Studies show that ACES can lead to psychological and physical health problems such as depression, obesity, anxiety and substance abuse, which can ultimately lead to an early death. Information provided by a survey will help determine if experiencing adverse situations as a child will eventually lead to drug use as a teen and/or adult.
