Abstract: Back pain affects over 25 million Americans annually. It is the single leading cause in disability, preventing people from engaging in work and other everyday activities. The device that we have designed is an inflatable device intended to restore the natural curvature of the spine. This device is intended to assist users to relieve themselves from lower back pain by cycles of stretching. Over time, the user will be more accustomed to the stretch and feel comfortable to stay on the device for longer periods of time, which shows that device is assisting in improved posture and reduced pain.
