Abstract: Workplace violence is on the rise, particularly in the emergency department where 82% of nurses report experiencing physical violence and 100% report experiencing verbal threats. This project educated senior nursing students about the detection, prevention and impact of workplace violence in emergency care settings. A lecture and interactive game was used to disseminate knowledge and promote discussion. A post-intervention quiz was used to assess knowledge gained. Results pending data analysis of quiz and survey.
