Waste Diversion Challenge

Abstract: The ultimate goal of this project is to divert the amount of waste ending up in landfills. This will be conducted through a series of emails and surveys sent out to participants who will then make a pledge. These individual pledges will then be followed up on to check progress, sent along with words of motivation and tips to avoiding waste. Once complete, results will be analyzed through graphs, expressing demographics and living situations. Main questions including but not limited to: "What were the motivators? What is holding people back from diverting their waste even further?" This project could serve as a starting point for a similar project but for a much larger audience in regards to waste diversion.
