Abstract: In our study we look to study the affects of exercise on short term recall. We look at memory and the way it is either enhanced or negatively affected by different types of exercise. We test cardiovascular exercise, strength training, stretching, and a resting state as the base test. From there we do a flash card test and then immediately following the exercise we ask the participants to recall the cards. Our population we are trying to reach is anybody 18 and up but we are limited to underclassman in our major who are required to participate in research. Given our major is health related our results maybe skewed. Our results might be leaning towards what we want which is that exercise helps short term memory recall.
