Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine if the standing long jump and the vertical jump are factors that affect the height and distance covered by the approach jump. I used 14 high school boys that are on the varsity volleyball team at St. Xavier High School. Each participant had their height, weight, and wing span measured before performing. The athletes were then asked to perform 3 of each vertical jump, standing long jump, and approach jump.
