Abstract: Adverse experiences in early life can alter human thoughts and actions. In a Preschool setting, the results of Adverse Experiences are measured through testing and coded by exhibited behaviors. Children who are defined as having disruptive behaviors run the risk of being mislabeled, thereby changing the trajectory of their lives. Although research supports adversity as a correlate, educators that interact with preschool children also serve as a resource and have invaluable data to offer toward the definition of disruptive behaviors and over-diagnosis.
