Abstract: School employees are often unprepared in medical emergencies and rely on quick arrival of emergency services. In rural areas, emergency services are volunteer and school nurses are split between multiple buildings, consequently, forcing school personnel to provide the first steps of life saving care to ensure the best possible outcome. This project educated childhood educators and school employees on the management of medical emergencies. Pre- and post- educational intervention quizzes assessed knowledge gained and school personnel were checked off on multiple skills. Results showed school personnel experienced decreased anxiety and increased confidence when faced with various medical emergencies.
