Abstract: Traditionally, functional magnetic resonance imaging of spoken language tasks have focused on word-level responses. Since humans rely on connected speech, this presentation will summarize the preliminary discourse data of people with aphasia enrolled in an ongoing project designed to identify the neurobiological markers of augmentative and alternative communication-induced language recovery.
