Abstract: Diversity refers to the traits and characteristics that make people unique while inclusion refers to the behaviors and social norms that ensure people feel welcome. The concept of diversity and inclusion has been lingering amongst many for years now. As further research is conducted on the topic, there is a rising interest in business, universities and other institutions in wanting to implement the practices. Essentially, incorporating the concepts of diversity and inclusion in the workplace is a choice. The impact of diversity and inclusion is so great that it should not be a choice, in fact, it should be required. Therefore, in order to establish a valid argument behind why it should no longer be a choice, we have developed an effective research topic and approach.
