Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative study is to see what behaviors are linked to sexual abuse during childhood and what strategies are used by foster parents and treatment coordinators to handle the behaviors. This study is important because many children in foster care have been sexually abused in their childhood and handling behaviors a certain way can either help the child or not help the child. The research was done verbally through an interview guide. The interview guide questions guided the conversation with the ten individuals interviewed. Overall, the behaviors linked to sexually abused children in foster care, need to be handled with helpful strategies.
