Abstract: This research is to find the root causes of burnout within behavioral day treatment programs with children. The research is done using the staff of The Children's Home of Cincinnati Early Childhood Day Treatment Program. Using research about literature on burnout, this research is conducted with the hypothesis there is individual, organizational, and enivironmental factors which can increase the likelihood of burnout for staff. However, through a qualitative research study this hypothesis will be tested. Finding the causers of burnout and consistent themes seen in burnt out staff.
