Author Biography

Victoria Derr

Victoria Derr received her Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Yale University.
She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Environmental
Science at California State University Monterey Bay, where her teaching and
research focus on the intersection between participatory, place-conscious
environmental education and social justice, particularly within historically excluded
and under-represented communities and schools of California, the Southwest U.S.,
and Mexico.
