Design Students Consider Space Solutions for Adults with Autism

Abstract

The goal of the team was to improve and enhance the everyday lives of adults with disabilities with a focus on adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).  Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental disorder; however, the developmental trajectory as adults with autism age is not well understood. With the rise in recognition of the disorder, adult outcomes have become an increasing priority for this population.
