Abstract

This paper elaborates on creative and imaginative situations in the design process that were especially highlighted by basic visual-spatial schemas through three case studies – three student projects in the beginner architectural and landscape design studio run at the Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT), Boston, MA in Fall, 2016.[1] In the development of these projects throughout the semester, design reasoning was systematized, either by the student, collectively in the student-instructor conversation or by the instructor.
