Author Biography

  • Stanley King

    Stanley King is founder and President of the Co-Design Group and a retired architect who practiced in England and Canada and taught design at Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He is an internationally recognized authority on public design participation and a pioneer in developing methodsof public dialogue. He is principal author of the book Co-Design -A Process of Design Participation (Van Nostrand Reinhold,1989), and author of Bringing Youth toMain Street (Alberta Main Street Programme Manual, edited by Merinda Conley, 2000), and co-author with Susan Chung of the Co-Design Youth Manual.
