Abstract

Comics tend to represent virtually all aspects of life. It is, therefore, not surprising to learn that there are numerous comic stories that deal with gardening, garden design, and environmental problems. Knowing and caring for the natural environment is discussed in comics often in a different way than in the professional magazines of landscape architecture, horticultural therapy, and related professions. In view of the fact that comics are read by millions of people, it is worth mentioning that the profession is not at all aware of this medium and the possibility it offers for educating children. The paper will discuss the chances comics may offer for the communication of ideas to children, adolescents, and also adults.
