Abstract
The essay discusses the early developmental phase of Fluxus, which George Maciunas called proto-Fluxus. Concentrating on the presentations of the New York Audio Visual Group, the Chambers Street performance series, events at the AG Galley and the development of the publication, An Anthology, the article addresses the evolution of a Fluxus community and the development of a Fluxus performance sensibility.Downloads
