Through the Looking Glass: Territories of the Historiographic Gaze
Abstract
This essay introduces the subject/object juxtapositions inherent in the writing of history. By comparing these "perspectives" with subject/object positions in the visual arts it will present not only a background to current historiographic models, but will also suggest ways to extend beyond traditional historical method.Downloads
